So, with the dark nights with us and not a lot to look forward to in January after the Christmas festivities, the York Residents’ Festival might be the pick-you-up that the family needs.
Taking place over the weekend of the 28th and 29th January, it offers free access to the city’s visitor attractions together with discounted offers for local restaurants and bars. It is the City Council’s way of thanking the York residents for putting up with what is an all year-round tourist trade to this great city.
Attractions that will be open and free to enter include Clifford’s Tower, the DIG, Barley Hall, Holgate Windmill, Castle Museum and York Dungeon to name but a few.
Some of the restaurants and bars taking part with offers include Kennedys, Piccolino, The Raj, Turtle Bay and The Rattle Owl again to name but a few.
Full details on the weekend can be found on the VisitYork website with the following link:
So, blow away those January blues and start planning what you are going to do on this excellent weekend.
And finally, enjoy!
